Hunter Beer Co

What we do here at Hunter Beer Co is make beer, great beer, great beer that we enjoy drinking. We also have the opportunity to share our love of beer with visitors who drop by to watch us work, sample our wares or just have a chat. We make a large range of beers with a huge range of colours, aromas and flavours, and firmly believe there is a beer in there for everyone: the only real way to find out is by visiting us and tasting the beer.

Our brewery is very small, one of the smallest in the country. We strive to create a beer experience for our customers. Visit the brewery, chat to a brewer, watch us at work as the person who made the beer will be pouring it for you to enjoy.

Hope Estate Brewhouse

Our mission at Hope Estate Brewhouse is to create the finest concert beer experience in the country. Maybe the world. Our beer is made fifty metres from where it’s served, 100% fresh. No preservatives, no pasteurisation, nothing between you and the pure beer flavour.

Brewer Matt Hogan brings a winemaker’s approach to brewing, adding new dimensions to old favourites. He also brings a maniacal level of productivity, knocking out a relentless stream of interesting new brews. At any given time he has about 10 different beers on the go, from classic sunny afternoon cleansers to heavyweight oak barrel flavour monsters. Even a gluten free number that’ll give you a whole new appreciation of rice.

Grand Ridge Brewery

At Grand Ridge Brewery the beer is made from pure mountain water, blended with the finest selection of malt, hops and yeast to produce beers of exceptional taste and quality. The malted grains are made into an infusion, boiled up with hops, and fermented. Some beers are fermented quickly and mature in a matter of weeks (ales, wheat beers and stouts) whilst others have weeks of fermentation and several months maturation.

They chose the old butter factory site in Mirboo North, Gippsland for good reason, its abundant supply of natural water as the purity and mineral balance of the water is an essential key to making great beer and that is just what this beautiful part of the world offers.

A good beer is judged by its aroma, flavour and finish. The beer should look good, smell clean and fresh and taste pleasantly distinctive.
