Step aside space bar bandits and indie yawnfests – there’s a new brand of awesome and it’s called Burger Joint.
Burger Joint is G and T-Bone, two motorcycle riding legends of funk and groove. They mix annoyingly catchy choruses with saucy loops and tasty beats, dripping with cheese. Using live looping – This wall of sound is the fattest 2 piece of funk getting round, you will be asking where the others are. They effortlessly throw bass loops, epic lead guitar over fat drums with vocal harmonies singing fun tongue in cheek lyrics which make you smile as you get on down.
Since their debut gig at Buskers by the Creek Festival in 2016 they have played shows all over the East Coast, Toured through Northern Territory and smashed out sets in festivals such as Gumball Festival, Dashville Skyline, Bleach* Festival, Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Festival, the Bello Winter Music Festival and Woodford Folk Festival and with a fist full of festivals lined-up for the second half of this year they are only just warming up.
Burger Joint’s here to bring the fun back to live music, and festivals is where they belong. The charismatic live show is a huge sound with plenty of guitar solos over the back of the head, percussion breakdowns, and a stage presence that is like having a party with your closest mates – and lets not forget sequin jackets.
Their film clip for Best Day Ever was a finalist for Gold Coast Music Awards and with a follow up clip on the way, Burger Joint are ready to keep the hits coming and take over the world, one song at a time.
