Uncle Shep’s Emporium of the Strange will return to Bitter & Twisted this year, featuring some of Australia’s best street performers all on the one stage.
Led by master showman and enigmatic master of ceremonies Shep Huntly, the performers will no doubt blow the minds of festival goers with amazing feats of human strength, contortion, comedy and surprise.
Shep always knew he wanted to be on stage and he began performing in primary school before eventually studying acting at university. It was at university in Ballarat that he discovered the circus and he hasn’t looked back. He has performed in groups, as a solo performer and even worked behind the scenes as a producer. Shep has produced a number of shows and events over the years but it is the Emporium of the Strange which has been a big hit at Bitter & Twisted.
He continues to tour both nationally and internationally throughout the year, but after becoming a Dad he spends more and more time at home in Byron Bay.
Don’t miss a chance to catch Shep and the team at Bitter & Twisted this year, which will be held at Maitland Gaol on the first weekend in November. Get your Sunday tickets here: www.bitterandtwisted.com.au/tickets/
