By Car
Maitland is conveniently located at the end of the F3 Freeway, just two hours north of Sydney.

The Gaol is located in John Street, East Maitland. Follow the New England Highway and turn off at Melbourne Street, East Maitland.
Follow the Gaol signs into John Street where limited parking will be available adjacent to the Gaol in Anzac Park (access off King Street).

Newcastle
Follow the New England Highway into Maitland and turn right onto Melbourne Street, East Maitland.
Follow Melbourne Street under the railway bridge and take the third exit off the round-a-bout onto John Street.
Sydney & the Central Coast
Travel along the F3 Freeway until you reach the round-a-bout intersection at John Renshaw Drive at the end of the freeway.
Take the second exit off the F3 round-a-bout onto Weakley's Drive (straight ahead).
Turn left onto the New England Highway at the end of Weakley's Drive to head towards Maitland.
Follow the New England Highway into Maitland and turn right onto Melbourne Street, East Maitland.
Follow Melbourne Street under the railway bridge and take the third exit off the round-a-bout onto John Street.
Kurri Kurri & Cessnock
Travel along Cessnock Road from Kurri Kurri through Heddon Greta and Gillieston Heights until you reach the New England Highway round-a-bout.
Take the third exit (turn right) onto the New England to travel towards East Maitland.
Turn left onto Melbourne Street, East Maitland.
Follow Melbourne Street under the railway bridge and take the third exit off the round-a-bout onto John Street.
Singleton & Muswellbrook
Travel along the New England Highway to East Maitland.
Turn left onto Melbourne Street, East Maitland.
Follow Melbourne Street under the railway bridge and take the third exit off the round-a-bout onto John Street.
